    Gala apples are a crisp but firm apple with an all purpose apple that is sweet with a hint of spice. Popular for eating, and particularly great to use to make applesauce, sauces, cider and to use in salads. They are small-medium sized and have a thinner, skin than other apples. Our Local Gala Apples are locally sourced from Norfolk Fruit Growers. Store Gala Apples in the crisper of your refrigerator.

    Honeycrisp Apples are sweet and juicy apples with a distinctive red-speckled and yellowish skin. They are a great snacking apple and the perfect choice if you're looking to add some sweetness to your salad. They're also great for baking! Locally sourced from Norfolk Fruit Growers, these Honeycrisp Apples have a beautifully balanced content of sugar and acid giving them a pleasant sweet-tart flavour!

    Apples, McIntosh (Each)

    McIntosh Apples have a crisp flesh that is exceptionally juicy and bright white in colour. When first picked, McIntosh apples have a strong sweet-tart flavour that mellows slightly the longer it is stored in the fridge. McIntosh apples break down quite easily, making them best eaten fresh or used to make applesauce, juicing or turning into cider. Locally sourced from Norfolk Fruit Growers in Simcoe, ON.

    Frozen Strawberries locally sourced from Barrie Hill Farms. Sweet, tart and juicy, these strawberries are excellent eaten on yogurt or cereal, and used in smoothies, desserts or to make preserves.

    Barrie Hill Farms is in Springwater, ON and is owned and operated by the Gervais family. Purchased back in 1968, the farm operated as a tobacco farm for about a decade. In the late 1970s, the Gervais family began growing strawberries, and eventually added highbush blueberries to their offering. They now grow their highbush blueberries on over 40 acres of land and are one of the biggest highbush blueberry farms in Ontario!

    Rhubarb (forced) Conventional 1LB

    Lennox Farms' winter (or "forced") rhubarb grows with little light, producing a tender deep red or pink stalk, and is not as tart as summer rhubarb. Hand picked and bunched by the pound, this limited-time rhubarb is a sure sign of spring! 

    Note: Rhubarb leaves are not edible and should be removed before eating. 

    Located in Shelburne, ON, Lennox Farms is a 5th generation family-owned farm owned and operated by Brian and Jeanette French.

    They grow a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and are particularly known for their forced winter rhubarb, rhubarb, and their Brussels sprouts!
